How to get there
From the A64 take A1237 (the York Outer Ring Road), then take the B1363 north past the Haxby and Wigginton junction, take the next right and follow signs. When coming from the North (A19) take the left turn to Huby after the second Easingworld roundabout, then on to Sutton-on-the Forest.

this was our second time at goosewood for xmas, and we love the peace and quiet of it. a lovely site to stay and only a few miles from monks cross shopping centre and the centre of york, we stayed in fountain lake lodge which i believe is privately owned, it was lovely, when we arrived there was a bottle of wine waiting for us and a xmas tree had been put up. very clean and spacious and comfortable lodge to stay in. its lovely waking up to the ducks around the lake each morning. all in all a lovely quiet peacefull place to stay and would reccomend to anyone wanting to get away from it all at xmas, we have already booked for 2012 and are very much looking forward to it.gary n sue from leeds.
