Loch Awe log cabins are situated near Dalavich on the banks of spectacular Loch Awe in the beautiful Inverliever Forest. Our selection of charming self-catering cabins are positioned on large, secluded plots in a stunning location and provide guests with a true log cabin holiday experience. We have a varied selection of lodges (sleeping up to 8 people) which have many character features including, vaulted ceilings, raised verandas, hot tubs at selected cabins and wood burning stoves in most cabins. Whether you require a base from which to explore Argyll and the west coast, simply enjoy the local area or just relax and be at one with nature our log cabins provide the perfect location.
This unique location was created by the forestry commission as a place of tranquillity, amid outstanding scenery. In addition to the peace and quiet of the log cabin locations the surrounding area provides an amazing natural playground with forests, burns, rivers, castles, mountains and lochs to explore and enjoy. The area has a proliferation of walks, cycle routes and local attractions and is a world renowned destination for anglers.
We believe the wildlife watching available at Dalavich is as good as it gets in the UK. With Pine Marten and Red Squirrel common, Osprey nesting nearby, Golden Eagle and Sea Eagle, Red, Roe & Sikka Deer in the area, and an unparalleled amount of bird life, we are truly spoiled.
Many visitors are captivated by the area, as we were, and return time and again to the shores of Loch Awe. We hope that you too will visit our highland hideaway and enjoy Dalavich log cabins and the natural wonders of this unspoiled part of Scotland.
