How to get there
Eagle and Otter Lodges are reached from The South by following the A9 to Inverness and continuing northwards across the Kessock Bridge following the signposts for the A835 Ullapool.
At the entrance to the village of Contin, take the A834 to Strathpeffer.
Signs at the edge of the village point to Blackmuir Wood; Eagle and Otter Lodges can be found at the end of the Forestry Commission track.

Owner's Description
Situated a twenty minute drive from Inverness are our two self-catering Scandinavian-style log cabins - Eagle & Otter Lodges. Each cabin sleeps 4 adults and has comfortable open-plan living space with modern facilities. Set in tranquil Forestry Commission woodland on the edge of the picturesque Victorian Spa village of Strathpeffer. Blackmuir Wood which surrounds the lodges, is ideal for walking, bird-watching and escaping the hustle and bustle of every day life. All your shopping can be done only a ten minute drive away in Dingwall and the surrounding area offers plenty of attractions:-
* Dolphin watching at Chanonary Point,
* A visit to the organic brewery on the Black Isle
* Climbing Ben Wyvis - a monro of 1046m.
* Take a beautiful train journey across to the West Coast and on to Skye.
* Tackle the challenging Strathpeffer golf course.
* Walk around Loch Ussi, Loch Kanellen and the Rogie Falls.
* Explore Strathpeffer's historic spa pavilion, the restored Victorian railway station and the ancient Eagle Stone.
