Nestling in the midst of magnificent scenery on the northern shores of Loch Lomond, commanding a superb panoramic view of this most famous of Scottish lochs.
Loch Lomond is one of a very few natural phenomena that are famous for being famous. The song has something to do with this, but even without it the place itself has a special quality that has always captured the imagination. The loch holds a very special place in the hearts of many, whether they live near or far away. What makes it so special is its natural beauty, the diversity of its landscapes and its wildlife, the contrast between Highland and Lowland, and the way the loch pulls all the elements into one dramatic whole.
