Owner's Description

Have you ever dreamed of having your own holiday home, idyllically situated away from it all, where you can go to unwind in a beautiful riverside location, far away from the hustle and bustle of modern urban life?

Well, we have news for you. There is one such place: a site so secluded and well hidden in the landscape that the go ahead has been given within the North Pennines Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty for a sensitive but prestigious development to take place.

Welcome to Parmontley Hall Country Lodges, situated in a beautiful and tranquil riverside location on the Whitfield Estate in the North East of England.

Whitfield Estate is well-known for its beauty, it’s fine trees and it’s wildlife: in fact some 7000 acres of the estate are internationally recognised as being of outstanding importance both for bird life and for botanical interest .

The Estate is home to rare species such as the otter and the black grouse, while the endangered red squirrels can be seen close to the Park. In the spring the whole valley plays host to many different species of wading birds, especially curlews, lapwings, and oystercatchers who come to this area to nest and rear their young.

With all this surrounding us, little wonder, then, that the Park has been awarded the David Bellamy Gold Award for Conservation 6 years running.

What’s special about Parmontley Hall is what’s already here: Peace and quiet, exceptional natural beauty, a slower pace of life. And we aim to keep it that way.

So why not come and see it for yourself? And it’s no great hardship getting here: the road which brings you to us (the A686) has been hailed by AA Magazine as one of the ten most scenic drives in Europe.

We hope we have given you a taste of what owning a holiday lodge could be like, here at Parmontley Hall. For even more information, why not visit our website by clicking on the link above.

Alternatively, if you would like a brochure sent to read in the comfort of your own home, then please use the facility below. Thank you.
