Owner's Description

Beside the lake, beneath the trees lies Bassenthwaite Lakeside Lodges, an exclusive privately owned holiday park situated on the edge of Bassenthwaite Lake at the foot of the dramatic Skiddaw mountain in the Lake District National Park.

Our superb lodges offer an idyllic setting in one of the Lake District's most gloriously unspoilt areas.

Here you can share the woods with the red squirrels, the waterside with the wildfowl and the lake with the reflected sky. Tranquillity surrounds you in this verdant woodland setting, whilst across the lake, the mountains and fells seem to march down to meet the water, creating a vista of unique timeless beauty. A superb range of holiday lodges set in secluded woodland on the edge of the spectacular Bassenthwaite Lake, recently designated a National Nature Reserve.

Our centrally heated and double glazed lodges offer every comfort and modern convenience, from their extensively equipped kitchens to colour televisions and music centres; some also have spa whirlpool baths. Bedrooms include warm duvets, crisp linen and soft towels, and each lodge has a private balcony, complete with gas barbecue to help you make the most of those idyllic summer evenings.

Here at Bassenthwaite Lakeside Lodges we offer you the opportunity to leave the troubles of your world behind. Refresh both mind and body in your very own haven, set amongst the trees, between the water and the sky, in one of the most stunning woodland landscapes to be found anywhere.
