Tourism value to UK 'could grow by 60% in 10 years' |

Tourism's contribution to the UK economy could
grow by more than 60% to £188bn by 2020, a report suggests.
The number of jobs directly and indirectly linked to tourism
could rise by 264,000 to 2.89 million in that time, said the study for
VisitBritain.

Trade welcomes reprieve for tax relief on holiday lettings |

The trade has welcomed an announcement by the
government that is to set aside a repeal of the Furnished Holiday Lettings
rules until after the general election.
The repeal, ending tax relief on holiday homes was
announced in the budget of April 2009, would have had serious harmful
consequences for the domestic tourism sector leading to a loss of over £200
million and 4,500 jobs, the association claimed.

Holiday lodges at the British Leisure Show, Windsor Race Course |

 Holiday lodges were exhibiting in Windsor, Berkshire for the very first time last weekend at the British Leisure Show on Windsor Race Course.
Despite the rain of the first two days, the show played host to over 21,000 visitors, finishing on a very sunny Sunday.
